Secrion II: Attendance Policy As a member of our Cross Country team, we want to see you EVERY day. By joining our team you have indicated a desire to have fun while developing yourself into a better runner tomorrow than you are today. The expectation is that you will be at every practice and meet whether you are running or not. ANY UNEXCUSED absence will result in immediate removal from the team. When school starts, we ask that you or your parents do not schedule appointments before 4:00. If you must miss practice, be sure to get the absence cleared in the attendance office. There are many reasons why members of the team have to absent from a practice or a meet. Parents must notify the Coach Kuderka or Coach Wiggins about any planned absences from a meet by the 1 st week of school so that accurate meet entries and transportation arrangements can be made. Having more than one excused absence from practice in a week, or more than one excused absence from a meet, may result in an athlete becoming ineligible for the next meet. If an athlete has an attendance problem and is consistently missing practices or meets, the coaches will ask to meet with that athlete to discuss the attendance problem and that athlete may be asked to leave the team. |
